Task

You will be divided in groups of three, each with a professional role. It will require a collaborative work to research the needed information to create a brochure. Each of you, may choose a role that best suit you. Be diligent with your research! Below you will find the role with their descriptions.

       Microbiologist

The school has hired you to investigate the bacteria in the digestive system that is making everyone sick. Remember to work with the nurse to plan ways to protect everyone in school from contracting the bacteria.

          School Nurse                                      Reporter

You will need to create a plan with procedures that the school can follow. In order to prepare this plan, you will need to communicate with the microbiologist to gather important facts about the bacteria.

You will inform the community about what's happening in the school. Interview the microbiologist and nurse.

Process

  • Together the group will create a tri-fold brochure. The front of the brochure must include the following: Title of your research, names of group members and their roles. The back should have the resources you used to collect the information; and the fold-in should detail the most important recommendation. For panels 1, 2, and 3, be creative and follow the rubric.
